‘Half Mad' Tattered, Steampunk Cloak, Moth

Earth-tattered tones of Browns, Tans, Charcoal Grey, Silver, Gold, with Black. 100% Wool capelet made of large scrap pieces of charcoals grey, two browns, and black… double stitched and sergered. The lower half is layer upon layer of multi-textured fabric scraps carefully stitched and reinforced for decades of styles!
 
An oversized hood that my capes are known for with metallic gold cord braiding between the wool and cotton layers. The printed petal signature cottons from Spoonflower are of Earthy Moths, Zodiac, and Steampunk gears.
 
Hand-painted white moth of metallic fabric paint. The other side is a scrap of genuine leather with a snakeskin print from the 80’s. On the center back of the cloak is a lovely tan embroidered silk. Other fine trim adorned and adds to this design.
 
I loved making this one... I didn’t realize just how mischievous these tones were till I started to pile. This Half Mad came together quickly too… the natural colors really soothe me. You'll know if it's meant for you!
